David Haviland, Executive Chef of the Castle On The Hudson, has the responsibility of overseeing the cuisine and culinary staff of the award-winning Equus Restaurant as well as orchestrating all private functions from intimate dinner parties to weddings for 150 guests with equal brilliance, care and grace.
David joins the Castle from a position of Executive Chef at the Ridgeway Country Club in White Plains, NY. Prior to that he was the Executive Chef at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye Brook, NY. He also held several positions in prestigious hotels in the North East.
David Haviland is also a member of "La Chaîne des Rotisseurs" and recently participated at "Celebrating Great Taste" an event sponsored by "Pride of New York" an event showcasing products of New York State with 12 other Celebrity Chefs.
Dave is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. His menus are designed to use seasonal and local products, which he hopes you will enjoy.
