No problems with the hotel. Our room was nice, clean, and in the original castle. I think only the suites are in the castle itself. Valet and front desk staff were outstanding.
The Castle on the Hudson makes you feel like royalty...for a couple hours at least. I took my mother out for her birthday at this snazzy establishment and neither of us were disappointed. First off, the grounds are absolutely gorgeous, they valet your car (none are parked because you can only valet) and the lobby has an extremely elegant and historic feel. Everything is polished and beautiful, there are numerous rooms with amazing and intricate details and a "royal" flair.
The Castle Hotel is not something everyone is able to get to experience in their life. It truly is a once in a life time opportunity that, if viable, people should take the chance on.

Castle Hotel & Spa was the perfect venue for our wedding! They made the whole experience enjoyable and exciting especially Elizabeth Rachlin who was incredibly professional and accommodating! Our guests said that it was the best wedding they ever attended. The Great Hall and Caramai Room at the Castle Hotel were beautiful and awe-inspiring. The cocktail hour and dinner received the highest praises. The hotel rooms were beautifully styled and very comfortable.
With the advent of spring, the pretty Garden Room at the castle’s restaurant, Equus, is a place for anyone to enjoy fine food, and a view to match. But luxury doesn’t come cheap. What money buys at Equus (the name is a nod to the integral role that horses played in the life of the castle in its early years) are a few satisfying hours at carefully appointed tables, efficient yet friendly service, and thoughtfully designed dishes that use seasonal produce and other top-notch ingredients.
